Returning Home from Picacho Peak State Park 4/4/16-10/28/16

We returned home from Arizona and took a much needed rest.  To be honest we worked hard there but totally enjoyed it.  Our focus was on the house and opening it up.  One day without water as the City could not turn it on for a day.  Everything looked good and the dogs were the happiest I had seen them for some time.  I decided shortly after our return to buy a new motorcycle and after shopping around I discovered this wonderful KTM Adventure, brand new and a previous model year.  Nice rebates and traded my old BMW for it.  Some of the pics show the day of delivery, break-in ride and a group ride with some old friends. Shortly after purchasing the KTM Carol and I decided to sell the motorhome and look for another rig with slides.  We worked on the Rexhall, cleaning it up and Carol even installed a new floor in the kitchen and bathroom.  I did exterior cleaning and in the end it looked sharp!  I had two folks look at it and each wanted to buy it.  I sold it to the highest bidder and we made a slight profit although we did put sweat and some money into it so it really came out even.  Looking at rigs began and at our price point we could buy new on some basic models or used for more upscale, (better built), models.  We looked at motorhomes again but decided for the money we could do better with a 5th wheel.  It also meant getting a truck and shedding the beloved Wrangler.  Albuquerque has many things but RV's are not less expensive here and our search expanded resulting in finding a 2009 Carriage Cameo 35FB3 in Tucson.  We purchased a new Cummins, the Little Red Truck, and off we went to pick up the Cameo.  The attraction for us was that it has a generator, auto sat dish dome, double fridge and a host of goodies to go with the extra space we had desired when in the Rexhall which had no slides.  One of the slide motors stripped out once we got home but were able to get it repaired and short of that we have a decent rig.  We are planning to return to Pichacho Peak State Park for this winter and hopefully a trip to Maine next summer.  I will keep you posted on that.
