A NEW BEGINNING OR "DON'T YOU LEARN"

Two trips to Tucson resulted in this new to us 1994 Rexhall.  It has good bones, with only 48,000 miles on the Ford 460.  Common to most RV's it immediately leached on to the purse strings asking for new tires, an oil change and a transmission service.  Parts are hard to find for this old guy but it is reliable and drives better than our previous 2000 Beaver Motorhome.  It is 31 feet, has no slides, no jacks, no corian counters, no fancy woodwork or electric awning, just the thing for a homeowner wanting an RV on the cheap.  The transmission shop advised the tranny was clean, without issues, which was a big relief to us.  RVing, as most who do it, is not all about mechanical things as much as it is about the journey.

We stayed at Voyager RV Resort which has three swimming pools, two hot tubs, an indoor gym plus a very nice restaurant, bar and bank.  A gate guard cheerfully waves you in and you have to be 55 years old to get in.  RV's are not the focus of this large resort as they cater to rows of park houses, then there is another tier of mobile homes, upscale I might add, and the upper strata has stick and brick homes in neat little communities.  All of these products are reasonably priced which certainly made us take a second look at our Rio Rancho home and think "what if"?  Then again Tucson is very hot!  The first picture is worth a thousand words regarding heat.  The cell phone was doing its job as was the heat.

Hot tubs, even in extreme heat are fun.  We would go to it at night and watch the Tank Busters do touch and go at night.  Very nice place to wonder if they angered the General and were relegated to night time touch and go while we sipped our scotch and soda and encouraged them.  The light that hot tub up at night and it is awesome.

The indoor pool has a glass wall separating the the gym so one could laze in the pool watching the hardcore go for it on the treadmill.  Great for winter use I am certain!
Another shot of the indoor pool, all is cool/
Two pools, one deeper and the other more shallow for swimmersize/  What a place to be 55!
Our first night in the rig led Ariel to look for some reassurance which we gave them.  She is a love!

Managed to get a Van Gogh out of the deal, but it fits!

A look outside from the cockpit, nothing like it from a bus perspective.

The seating area behind the cockpit,  Very comfortabale!

This is the galley.  Nothing to write home about but I bet great things can be made there!  Thus concludes the day of purchase and leaving us with the need to get back to Albuquerque.  The trip went well, rendering about 8 miles per gallon and everything worked!
